about Gneksja
Gneksja and Dongarbja are two small (0,12 km² and 0,01 km² respectively) islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. around 240 people live here in six settlements: Bagodsj, Dongarbo, Jogege, Kejkors, Obebebeks and Reknors. Gneksja has a democratic government which listens to and fixes the problems of it's inhabitants. the country has a rich history which you can see here.
what can you see in Gneksja?
- the Jogege national park is the most beautiful place of the main island. established by king Bebjor Bobe, it is the last natural habitat of the endangered Gneksjan gyobyo. you can walk around the pictureqsue paths or relax by the Jogege lake. in the summer months, a BakDonards restaurant is open and there is the Jogege Hotel operating year-round.
- the Dongarbja island is a very small island located not far away from Gneksja. it is the only place where the old Gneksjan houses have survived, because it wasn't known by the British who were destroying the rest of Gneksja. here, you can go back in time and follow the lives of the inhabitants of this island.
- there are no better beaches than the beaches of Gneksja. not many tourists visit Gneksja which makes them the best place to relax. they are always clean and you are almost guaranteed to find a spot to put up a wind screen.
